Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 9, 2026

The AI Choice (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Paul St. John Wood, provides the AI Replacement Score tool and related content. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, the legal bases for processing it, and the rights you have. It is written to comply with the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the “GDPR,” and the UK GDPR as retained under the Data Protection Act 2018) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”).

Our commitment: we do not sell your personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We commit, permanently, never to sell personal data collected through this site or through any other site, channel, or mechanism we control. We also do not “share” your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Because we neither sell nor share personal information, there is no sale to opt out of; we honor the right in any case.

Information we collect

  • Assessment inputs you enter: job title, role type, industry, location, and company size. These are used to calculate your score.
  • Email address, only if and where you choose to provide it (for example, when you purchase a product or sign up for updates). Providing it is optional, and the score tool works without it.
  • Technical and usage data collected automatically to operate and secure the service: a session identifier, referral and campaign parameters (UTM), basic device and browser information, and IP address.

How we use your information

  • To calculate and display your AI Replacement Score.
  • To deliver products you purchase and to send updates you request, only where you provide your email.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
  • To produce aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized statistics and insights (for example, score distributions by industry or region). Aggregated and anonymized data does not identify you and is not treated as personal information.

Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for sending you email and for any optional information you provide.
  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) where processing is needed to fulfill a purchase you make.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating, securing, and improving the service and in producing aggregate analytics, balanced against your rights and freedoms.

You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the service (for example, our checkout/payments provider, our hosting and database provider, and our email delivery provider), under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us. We may disclose information where required by law.

International transfers

Our service and storage are based in the United States. If you access the service from the EU, EEA, UK, or elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.

Your rights

EU, EEA, and UK (GDPR):you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent (Arts. 15–22). You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (Art. 77).

California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access and a copy, to request correction, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information.

To exercise any right, contact us at support@theaichoiceplaybook.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes the applicable law requires.

Children

The service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or under 13 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
